Royalburn Station on the Crown Range Rd near Arrowtown is famous for its ethically-grown lamb and organic produce. Started by MasterChef alumni Nadia Lim and her husband, Nuffield scholar and farmer Carlos Bagrie, Royalburn has been making a name for itself as a pioneer of regenerative farming both here in NZ and internationally since 2019.
Eddie and the team were pretty excited when we got the call from a member of the Royalburn distribution team to create four freezers and a chiller. The company converted each container by removing the door, installing a wall in the opening and adding a door in each wall as the current doors were dangerous and tricky to open and close.
Royalburn outlined exactly what they needed, with Eddie making a couple of suggestions of his own. It took Eddie and the crew a week to make the doors, and they then set out on the road for the six-hour trip down to Royalburn, where they spent the next three days working on the installation.
We think they look pretty swanky and the team at Royalburn were very pleased with the result. It’s not often we get to work in a place as scenic as the Crown Range Road!
