A tasty project for New Zealand Cheese

One of the benefits of our job is that we’re always working with local businesses that do amazing things. New Zealand Cheese is a perfect example – they are cheese specialists who wholesale independently made cheese sourced from around New Zealand. Their passion for what they do is inspiring.

After maturing the cheese to ensure that it’s perfectly ripe, the New Zealand Cheese team cuts the blocks into portions of varying size for sale to the best chefs, restaurants, wineries and bars around the country. They also supply cheese directly to the public through their online store.

The centre point of their new Christchurch facility is a temperature-controlled room where the cheese portioning process is carried out.

Naturally, because this is a food processing facility, precise temperature control and hygiene are essential.

“We selected Panel Door Systems because they could do everything we needed.”

– James Thomas, New Zealand Cheese

After the design and manufacturing of the panels at Panel Door Systems Christchurch factory, a quick installation, which happened in a single day, despite the complication of needing to suspend a ceiling.

New Zealand Cheese chose Panel Door Systems because we have unbeatable experience in designing, building, and installing temperature controlled food processing facilities. What’s more we were also able to be flexible and accommodate their timing, while still doing the job efficiently and to the highest standard.

At Panel Door Systems, we excel in designing, manufacturing, and installing customised solutions where precise temperature control is essential. In fact, for any application where you want a robust system that delivers energy efficiency, climate stability, and hygiene, you can count on us to do the job right.

If you have a project like New Zealand Cheese, or any of the others you can read about in our blog, please get in touch.
